Creative Direction for Brands, Film Production & Visual Storytelling

Hands-On Art Direction, Editorial Styling, and Historical Visual Production in Virginia

The Background Behind the Lens

I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Merchandising and Consumer Studies and began my career on the Visual team at Anthropologie, where I developed a sharp eye for spatial storytelling, composition, and brand presentation. Today, I focus exclusively on hands-on creative direction and editorial styling for small businesses, independent heritage brands, and narrative film projects.

My creative work has a strong emphasis on menswear, historical preservation, and documenting makers who value raw craft, quality, and authenticity. Over nearly two decades, my portfolio has expanded across commercial print layout, catalogs, cinematography sets, retail visual merchandising, and historical documentaries—including specialized projects featured on Netflix (Making the American Man). I’ve collaborated with pioneering lifestyle brands like Juniper Ridge and my work has been featured across publications including the Beekman 1802 Almanac, She Explores, In Register Magazine, The Advocate, Lynchburg Living, 225, and FOLK Magazine.

At Makers Workshop, I construct atmospheric visuals that don’t just showcase a product or a scene; they articulate a brand’s soul and connect deeply with an audience.
